When customizing multi-piece wheels, understanding the different disk types is essential to ensure proper brake clearance and achieve the desired aesthetic. Since these things vary a bit for each wheel brand, we've chosen SSR as our subject brand for this post.
The Four Main Disk Types Are
• Hyper Disk (HP): Offers maximum brake clearance but limits lip size.
• Medium Disk (MD): Suitable for some upgraded brakes with moderate clearance.
• Normal Disk (NR): Most common, ideal for OEM brake setups.
• Super Low Disk (SL): Prioritizes lip size, reducing brake clearance.
